Commands

agent-share --help and man agent-share give the full reference. This page gives the commands and the flags that you use most.

serve

agent-share serve <dir> [lookup flags] [--password PW | --password-stdin] [--output human|json]

Shares <dir> read-only and prints the consumer command. Keeps serving until you stop it.

FlagDoes
--swarm <id>Use the discovery config of an existing swarm id
--publicmDNS, DHT and the default relay ladder. This is the default
--mdns, --dht, --relay [url,…]Use only the lookups that you name. See Networking
--output jsonPrint one agent-share <ticket> line, for scripts

Mount

agent-share <ticket> <target> [--password PW | --password-stdin] [--transport webrtc] [--output human|json]

Creates agent-share-YYYY-MM-DDTHHMM/ under <target> and mounts the share there. Unmounts on Ctrl-C.

--transport webrtc forces the WebRTC data channel. It exists to test the browser path from a native process. Do not use it to pick a transport.

mirror

agent-share mirror <ticket> <dest> [--only PATH]… [--password …] [--output human|json]

Takes a full, hash-verified copy of the share into <dest>. --only copies only the paths that you name. You can repeat it, and a directory takes everything under it. A partial copy can still be served: the files it does not hold show as absent.

The copy records what it needs to serve again, so agent-share serve <dest> asks for no password.

bench

agent-share bench --transport webrtc|quic # producer agent-share bench <ticket> [--duration 30] [--depth 1] # consumer

A synthetic throughput and latency test with no real directory. The producer picks the transport and puts it in the ticket.

Passwords

--password protects a share on serve and unlocks it on a consumer.

  • --password PW shows in ps output and in your shell history.
  • --password-stdin reads the password up to the first newline. Use it in scripts and CI.

An empty password is an error, not “no password”. A pipeline that sends nothing must not publish an unprotected share.

Output

--output json gives one line for machines:

  • serve prints the agent-share <ticket> command.
  • mirror prints the agent-share serve <dir> command.
