Share a folder.
Mount it anywhere.
Peer to peer and read-only. Bytes move only when someone reads them. No daemon, no FUSE, no account.
brew install agent-habilis/tap/agent-shareMore install options in the docs.
ποΈ Two commands
One machine serves the folder and prints a ticket. The other mounts it with that ticket.
# producer
agent-share serve ./notes
# consumer, on any other machine
agent-share <ticket> ~/mntThe files stay on the machine that serves them. Peers connect straight to each other over encrypted QUIC. No bucket, no account, nobody else holding the data.
πNothing goes to a cloudgrep it, open it in an editor, build against it. The OSβs own NFS client does the mounting, so there is no FUSE, no kernel extension and no daemon.
πIt mounts as a real folderServing scans names and sizes, nothing else. Open one file in a 10 GB folder and one file is what crosses the wire.
β‘Only the bytes you readThe producer watches the folder. Edits, new files and deletions reach everyone connected, with no remount.
πAlways the current versionThe same room over mDNS, anywhere else over the DHT and relays. It holes through NAT, so there is no port to forward and no VPN to join.
πIt finds the other machineA password-protected ticket addresses the share without opening it. Post the link where the password is not.
πSafe to shareOpen the ticket in the webapp, or run npx agent-share. Neither needs the binary.
